Yevhen Selin

Yevhen Serhiyovych Selin (Ukrainian: Євген Сергійович Селін; born 9 May 1988) is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a left back or centre back for Desna Chernihiv.

Club career

Selin was born in Voroshylovhrad Oblast, Ukrainian SSR.

Metalist Kharkiv

He signed for Metalist during the 2006–07 season in 2007, where he played for the Metalist reserves.[2] Myron Markevych promoted Selin to the senior team for the 2008–09 season.

Vorskla Poltava

On 10 June 2010, he left Metalist and joined Ukrainian Premier League rivals Vorskla Poltava on loan without a signing option.[3]

Asteras Tripolis

On 20 December 2016, Asteras Tripolis officially announced the signing of Selin from FC Dynamo Kyiv until the summer of 2018. He had a successful loan spell with Platanias in the 2015–16 season.[4]

MTK Budapest

In summer 2018 he moved to MTK Budapest in Nemzeti Bajnokság I, where he played 24 games and scored 1 goal.[5]

Desna Chernihiv

On 15 July 2021 he signed a contract for one year with Desna Chernihiv, the main club in Chernihiv in Ukrainian Premier League.[6][7][8] On 25 July 2021, he return to play in Ukrainian Premier League with the new club against Chornomorets Odesa at the Stadion Yuri Gagarin.[9] On 21 September 2021 he played against Metalist Kharkiv in Ukrainian Cup in the season 2021-22.[10] On 7 november 2021, he scored against Lviv at the Arena Lviv, replacing Andriy Totovytskyi at the 80 minute.[11] On 15 November 2021 he played against Olimpik Donetsk in the friendly match at the Bannikov Stadium in Kyiv.[12][13] On 11 February 2022 he was included in the team for the preparation in Turkey for the second half of the season and he played against Velež Mostar in the friendly match.[14][15][16] On 17 february he played against Torpedo Kutaisi in a friendly match where he has been replaced by Danyil Pus at 64 minute.[17][18] On 20 February 2022 he scored in the friendly match against Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih at the Asteria Football Center in Antalya at the 21 minute.[19][20]

International career

Spotted by Pavel Yakovenko, Selin was called up to the Ukraine U21 national team. On 7 October 2011, he made his debut for the senior side and netted a goal in a 3–0 home win against Bulgaria in an exhibition match.
