Workiz, formerly SendAJob, is an all-in-one SaaS CRM Field Service Management Software for small to medium-sized on-demand home service businesses across North America, providing professionals with the tools to successfully manage their businesses by streamlining back-office operations, enabling them to scale faster and smarter.[1][2][3] Founded in 2015, Workiz has raised over 60.2M USD and was named one of the fastest-growing American companies in 2021. They currently employ over a hundred people in San Diego and Tel Aviv.

History

The startup was founded in 2015 by Idan Kadosh and Erez Marom. Kadosh and Marom worked as locksmiths for more than 15 years in San Diego.[4] Their frustration with existing field service management solutions led them to build a software for their own company, Enterprise Locksmith, and hire Saar Kohanovitch as its CTO.

In 2018, the company raised $2.2M in a Seed round led by Aleph Venture Capital.[5] In 2019, the company raised $5M in a Series A led by Magenta Venture Partners.[6] In 2021, the company raised $13M in a Series B led by New Era Capital Partners, with past backers Aleph, Magenta Venture Partners, Maor Investments and TMT Investments also participating in the round.[7][8] Later that year, Workiz has raised $40M more in a Series C led by Lead Edge Capital, joined by G squared and La Maison and followed by existing investors New Era, Magenta Venture Partners and Maor Investments[9].

Workiz's CEO is Adi "Didi" Azaria, who was a co-founder of Sisense, a unicorn business intelligence tech company valued at more than $1B dollar as of 2020.[10] Azaria joined Workiz in 2018 as part of their seed financing round led by Aleph Venture Capital.[11] Tomer Levy joined in 2020 as the company's Chief Financial Officer.[12]

In the summer of 2021, Workiz was first ranked as the top Field Service Management software for small businesses by G2 for each of the following categories: Usability, Results and Relationship.[13] Workiz was also recognized by the global research and advisory firm Gartner as a "Frontrunner" for top-rated Field Service Software products in North America for 2021.[14] In 2019, Workiz was selected as both a "Facebook Playground" partner and a "Google for Startup Accelerator" partner.[15]

The Product

Other than its scheduling and dispatching capabilities, the software includes an integrated phone system, also known as Workiz Service Phone, which provides clients with a virtual phone system to call clients, restore call records, and enable call queueing to not miss a single call from future clients.

In 2021, the company launched an all-new automation center to help customers save time needed to perform daily repetition tasks, such as sending call reminders to dispatchers and asking clients for a positive review on Google's Local Services Ads [16]. In 2022, the company launched the new Workiz Pay, now integrated with payment solution Stripe and enabling flexible payment via Sunbit.

Workiz also released a voice feature powered by Amazon Alexa to promote road safety for field service workers to interact with its platform handsfree. [17] In 2019, Workiz announced their partnership with Chase Bank to allow field service professionals to use same-day payout, allowing them to bill and receive electronic payments while in the field. [18] Later that year, Workiz also partnered with Thumbtack[19] and today it is also partnered with Angi, HouseHappy, and Gusto, as well as Google’s Local Services, Signpost, and NiceJob. The company also collaborates with organizations related to the field service industry, such as Junk Removal Authority and JDog[20].
