Plot
Slow-witted army private Cuthbert Hope (Laurel) manages to makes life miserable for his gruff Top Sergeant Banner (Hardy). Banner must also report back to firm Captain Bustle (Jimmy Finlayson).
The film begins with Finlayson paying so much attention to his numerous girlfriends that he does a major pratfall trying to jump on a troop train that has already pulled out of the station.
At bedtime,Laurel has to share a bunk with a man eating a huge garlic and limburger cheese sandwich.Laurel
manages to throw the sandwich out the window---and the wind lands it in Finlayson's face.
At camp,Hardy's squad decides to take a break from a long hike by swimming in a lake.But Hardy's discarded
cigarette burns up the squad's uniforms.Trying to sneak back to camp unobserved,,they upset a hornet's nest
that follows them back to camp.
