Watan (newspaper)

Watan (Arabic: صحيفة وطن يغرد خارج السرب) is a weekly Arab-American newspaper[1][2][3] published by Watan News LLC.[4] It was founded in Washington D.C. in 1990 by journalist Nezam Mahdawi.[5][6][7][8] In 1993, the newspaper moved its headquarters to Los Angeles, California.[9][10][11]

Watan News started as a monthly newspaper, then became a weekly printed newspaper.[12][13][14][15] It launched its news website in 1996.[16]
