History
On July 17, 1944, the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR decided to open the Stalingrad Agricultural Institute in the city of Uryupinsk. The opening of the institute took place on October 14, 1944.
From 1994 to 2011, the educational institution was called the Volgograd State Agricultural Academy.
October 19, 2011 Volgograd State Agricultural Academy was awarded the state status of the university[1]
