Valeriy Hudz

Valery Fedorovich Gudz (Ukrainian: Гудзь Валерій Федорович; 12 February 1971 – 12 March 2022) was a Ukrainian serviceman, Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, commander of the 24th Mechanized Brigade (2017–2020).[1] Participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war: fought in sector "D" on the border war with Russia, in the area of ​​Volnovakha and Avdiivka. He died during the Russian invasion of Ukraine in Luhansk region. He was awarded Hero of Ukraine posthumously.[2][3][4]
