Vala clan
The Vala, or Wala is a Koli clan found in the state of Gujarat in India. They claim to be the earliest Koli settlers in Saurashtra, and are descendants of Dhan Mer who was son of Koli chieftain Sonang Mer, who defeated the ruler of the Vala kingdom (Valabhi) of Gujarat.[1]
