UPH was the first university in Indonesia to introduce programs entirely taught in English, the first to offer a liberal arts curriculum, and the first to introduce a multi-disciplinary approach to its programs.
History
UPH was founded in 1993.[1]
In 2006, UPH opened two residence halls, one of which was the MYC Dormitory.[3] Students at the university's teacher's college are assigned to the Teacher College Dormitory, which opened in July.[4]
Secondary school
UPH has an affiliated secondary school, called UPH College which also has a student dormitory.[7] Its program provides a national plus curriculum, making it semi-international.
Sports
UPH has a winning basketball team called UPH Eagles. During two seasons in the years 2015 and 2016, Rivaldo Pangestio was crowned most valued player (MVP). In 2015, the Eagles won first place in LIMA. In the 2018 LIBAMA (Liga Basket Mahasiswa) final, their rookie Yesaya Alessandro Saudale scored 12 pts and grabbed four rebounds en route to their fourth consecutive title.
