Turiya Sings

Turiya Sings is a 1982 album by Alice Coltrane, initially released on privately-pressed cassette for her Vedantic Center's students.[1] The album is recordings of devotional Sanskrit songs sung by Coltrane, accompanied by largely synthesised instrumentation.[2][3] The album was rereleased in July 2021 by Impulse! Records as Kirtan: Turiya Sings, which is based on a 1981 mix that lacks the original release's overdubbed synthesizer and string backings.[4][5][6]
