The Wine School of Philadelphia is an American-based wine school known for offering wine tasting classes , winemaking programs as well as , Sommelier programs.[2][3]

History

The Wine School was established by Keith Wallace in 2001.[4][5] Keith founded the school with the intention of bringing winemaker-grade education to the general public.[6] [7] Over the years, the school has helped a lot in shaping the future of wine education and the foundation of other wine schools across the United States.[8][9]

The wine school is where the movement to privatize wine sales in Pennsylvania started.[10]

Programs and classes

The Wine School offers top-tier classes and programs to aspiring wine expert and dealers.[11] Aside from basic wine education, the school has expanded to the level of offering beer, Liquor, and cocktail classes which are anchored by the experts in the industry.[12][13]

Notable graduates

The Wine School has turned out several graduates across the United States. Notable among them include Tahiiran Habibi,[14] Jill Bennett Gaieski, an anthropologist at the University of Pennsylvania, and Lori Knauer, a retired attorney with DuPont.[15]

Charity

The Wine School engages in charitable activity within the Philadelphia as a way of giving back to the community. The School donates funds in wine classes and events to Philadelphia’s charities and schools on yearly basis.[16]
