The Quintessential Quintuplets the Movie[lower-alpha 1] is a 2022 Japanese animated romantic comedy film produced by Bibury Animation Studios. It is based on The Quintessential Quintuplets by Negi Haruba and is the finale of the series. The film is scheduled to be premiered on May 20, 2022.

Production and release

The film was revealed on April 18, 2021 as the sequel to The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬.[2] It would serve as the finale for the story.[3] The film is directed by Masato Jinbo and written by Keiichirō Ōchi, with casts return to respire their roles.[4] Bibury Animation Studios, who had previously produced the second season of the anime television series, returns to animate the film.[5] The film is set to open in Japan on May 20, 2022 with a runtime of over 130 minutes.[6]

In celebration of the film, a new bonus chapter that takes place after the original ending, which would be part of a special book volume 14.5, is confirmed to publish.[7] The film also receives a video game by Mages, titled as The Quintessential Quintuplets the Movie: Five Memories of My Time with You[lower-alpha 2], that is set to be launched in Japan on June 2, 2022 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch platforms.[8]
