The Melancholic Man

The Melancholic Man (French: L'homme mélancolique) is a painting by Théodore Géricault, which was painted in a still unknown year. It is a part of the series Les Monomanes (Portraits of the Insane). It is the sixth discovered painting of the said series. It depicts a melancholic person in a red robe, partially bald. It was discovered by a Spanish scientist in Ravenna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy around 2013~2019.[1][2]
