The Hebrew Standard

The Hebrew Standard[1] was "An English language weekly newspaper published in New York City in the early 20th Century"[2] (and the late 19th century).[3][4] They editorialized against intermarriage.[1] The matter of Jewish Sabbath observance and Sunday Blue Laws was another of the areas in which they advocated.[3]

The newspaper wrote about celebrating days of importance on the Jewish calendar,[5] and covered Jewish community news (locally,[6] USA-wide,[7] and beyond[8]).
