Thamizhum Saraswathiyhum

The story starts with Tamizharasu fondly called Tamil a tenth dropout who discarded his education due to his family's financial crises. His family consists of seven, his mother and father named Kothai and Natarajan respectively who is the founder of Kothai Industries which is now managed by Tamil and Karthik (Tamil's younger brother) who has done MBA and his Sister Ragini who is studying MBBS, Abitha who works as a maid in their house, Kothai considers her as a member of their family and an orphan and Tamil's friend Namachivayam who lives with them. Kothai has an elder brother whose daughter agreed to marry Tamil but later refuses to marry him due to his studies and Kothai challenges her that she will look for a bride who has studied a lot more than her.

Where on the other hand it revolves around the family of Saraswati where her father Chokkalingam works as a principal in a school and hates Saraswati as she has been studying her grade 12 for about 8 years. Saraswathi's mother Vasuki is a teacher in a school and tries to pacify her. Saraswathi's paternal grandmother who supports her at times, her younger sister Kavya who is pursuing her B.Tech in a college tries to teach Saraswati but she doesn't understand, His brother Arun who is also pursuing his B.Tech in AI (Artificial Science) hates Saraswati for her studies. A disheartened Tamil after the incident of the rejected marriage proposal prays to God where Saraswati visits and pranks him saying that you will meet a girl thrice in rain and you will marry her after this a happy Tamil tells this to Namachivayam who doesn't believe him, and they visit the temple again where they meet and starts raining. Then the story introduces Chandrakala, a former subscollector and Vasundhara and Aditi's mother. Vasundhara is in love with Thamizh's younger brother Karthik. Kodhai hates love. Karthik tells he loves Vasundhara to Thamizh. They also tell this to Natesan(Karthik & Thamizh's dad). They make lies to make Kodhai agree to visit the family. When they visit the family, Chandrakala acts rude and tries to say that she's rich and Kodhai is less than her. Kodhai doesn't like this and cancels the wedding. Vasundhara attempts suicide. Chandrakala decides to get Vasundhara and Karthik married without the families knowledge. On the wedding day, Karthik says he won't marry Vasundhara without Kodhai. Kodhai hears how Karthik praises her and agrees to get Karthik and Vasundhara married later. Saraswathi is caught cheating from an exam because one boy tries to throw a paper to her. This angers Chokkolingam(Saraswathi's dad). Saraswathi realises her love for Tamizh. Kodhai decides to get Thamizh married to Suhasini. On the engagement day, Thamizh realises his love for Saraswathi. Will he marry Saraswathi or Suhasini? A few days later Suhasini says that she doesn't have interest in marrying Thamizh because of his education level so the wedding is stopped. Thamizh later proposes to Saraswathi but it's revealed that Saraswathi was just engaged to Shyam. Saraswathi coincidently meets Kodhai and saves her when she faints. Kodhai starts liking Saraswathi. On the other hand, Shyam is a criminal and is cheating Saraswathi. Thamizh spots Shyam with another girl at a resort. The wedding is planned in 3 days. Thamizh gets Shyam arrested and Chokkalingam realises Thamizh's love for Saraswathi. One day Thamizh tells Chokkalingam that he loves Saraswathi, he agrees to meet the family. Kodhai starts liking Saraswathi and asks her about her qualifaction, Saraswathi lies and saya she studied MBA so she can marry Thamizh. Kodhai agrees to get Thamizh and Saraswathi married unaware of Saraswathi's education level. Chandrakala and Geetha constantly try to stop Thamizh and Saraswathi's wedding. Geetha is Thamizh's aunt who hates Kodhai's family and constantly pairs up with Chandrakala with her plans. One day Geetha finds out about Saraswathi's education level but in an accident she is unable to speak. Thamizh and Saraswathi happily get married but their happiness is short tempered when Geetha escapes from the hospital and she and Chandrakala say the truth about Saraswathi's education. Kodhai faints in shock and because of this the whole family starts to turn against Thamizh and Saraswathi. Now Saraswathi decides to pass Grade 12 and Study MBA to prove herself and get accepted by the family.
