Life and career

Teodora Džehverović was born on 10 February 1997 in the South Banat village of Kačarevo to Serb mother and Bosniak father. According to her, the family relocated to Pančevo when Teodora was in middle school to support her ballet practices.[1]

She rose to prominence at seventeen years of age as a contestant on the televised singing competition Zvezde Granda in 2014. Džehverović auditioned performing "Ti si želja mog života" (You're My Life's Wish) by Croatian band Magazin. Despite failing to win majority votes from the judging panel, she was promoted to the next stage as the wildcard. Before pursuing a solo career, Teodora found modest success as a member of the girl group Đavolice, which was composed of her and fellow-Zvezde Granda contestants Tamara Milutinović and Gorana Babić.[2] Her first solo single "U četiri oka" (Face to Face) was released in November 2016. She gained more significant fame by appearing on the first season of Serbian reality TV series Zadruga (2017–18), finishing as the second runner-up.[3] Her debut album, titled Borbena (Fighter), was released through IDJTunes in February 2019 to commercial success.[4]

In September 2020, Teodora became the fifth Serbian woman to gross over million followers on Instagram.[5] In March 2022, she was officially announced as the judge of the singing competition IDJShow alongside Relja Popović and Darko Dimitrov.[6]
