Tayū (太夫) may refer to:
- A title used in traditional Japanese arts such as Noh, jōruri, kabuki, and sekkyō-bushi
- The highest class of Japanese courtesan, established during the Edo period, who did not engage in sex work and whose unique arts and culture are preserved in the Kyoto district of Shimabara to this day
