Takam Kingdom

Takam Kingdom (Nepali: ताकम राज्य), Takam of Bagalyas or Bagalyadesh or 4000 Parbat Kingdom was a historical Thapa kingdom founded by King Kalu Thapa Kshatri of the Bagale Thapa clan belonging to Khas community.[1] This Thapa dynasty ruled for 300 years between 1246 BS-1545 BS (1189 CE - 1488 CE), only to be conquered it into Chaubise Parbat State by King Dimba Bam of Samalvanshi Malla clan.[2]

It was later merged to Kingdom of Nepal on 14 Ashoj 1843 BS by the Gorkhali army under the leadership of Amar Singh Thapa, Yog Narayan Malla, Damodar Pande and Jiba Shah.[3] The present day Takam VDC lies in the region.
