Track work in 2018–19, which included replacement of platform edges at several stops, triggered requirements for accessibility modifications at those stops. As of May 2021, the MBTA expects construction at St. Paul Street and seven other C Branch stations to begin in 2023–24.[2]
St. Paul Street shared its name with a surface stop on the Green Line B branch, and was the only such duplicate in the MBTA system. On November 12, 2021, the B branch stop was closed to be replaced by Amory Street station.
