Sayantan Ghosal

Sayantan Ghosal is an Indian Bengali film director and editor.[1] He has directed several movies including Jawker Dhan, Sagardwipey Jawker Dhan, Satyanweshi Byomkesh, and many more. He directed Byomkesh S1-S3 for Hoichoi and the web series Lalbazaar currently streaming on ZEE5.[2]

Career

Sayantan's first film Jawker Dhan released in 2017 under the banner of Champion Movies. This movie was based on the adventure story of the Bimal-Kumar duos of Hemendra Kumar Roy in the same name. This film was a massive success at the box office. His second film Alinagarer Golokdhadha was released in 2018 under the banner of Eros International & Champion Movies.[3] This movie did great business at the box office.[4] His third film Satyanweshi Byomkesh was released in 2019 under the banner of Greentouch Entertainment. The film stars Byomkesh Bakshi as Parambrata Chatterjee and Ajit Bandyopadhyay as Rudranil Ghosh.[5] His fourth film Sagardwipey Jawker Dhan was released in 2019 under the banner of Surinder Films and Champion Movies.[6] This film was a huge success at the box office. The film grossed Rs 7 crore at the box office.[7]

Besides films, he conducts web series, the most notable and successful being Byomkesh and Lalbazaar.
