Saunkan Saunkne

Saunkan Saunkne (transl. Co-Wife [or] Husband's other wife) is an upcoming Indian Punjabi-language, romantic comedy film directed by Amarjit Singh Saron. The film made under the banner of Naad SStudios, Dreamiyata Pvt. Ltd and JR Production House, stars Ammy Virk, Sargun Mehta and Nimrat Khaira. It is scheduled for release on 13 May 2022.[1]

Synopsis

A couple married for more than 6 years loses hope for a child. On insistence of his wife he marries her sister. Shortly small squabbles between the two wives lead to comic situation and fun begins.

The film was announced in June 2020 with lead cast of Ammy Virk, Sargun Mehta and Nimrat Khaira.[3]

Filming

Principal photography of Saunkan Saunkne began in October 2020[4] and the film was completed within a couple of months.[5][6]

Music

Soundtrack of Saunkan Saunkne is composed by Desi Crew on lyrics by Raj Ranjodh, Bunty Bains, Rony Ajnali, Gill Machhrai and Arjan Virk. The songs are sung by Ammy Virk, Nimrat Khaira, Raj Ranjodh, Miss Pooja and Gurlez Akhtar. The soundtrack is released on Tips Punjabi.[7] First track "Gall Mann Le Meri" was released on April 24, 2022.[8] Second track "Sade Kothe Ute" was released on 1 May 2022.[9]

Release

Initially film was slated to release on 14 April 2022 but it was postponed to 6 May 2022.[10] It was again postponed and now scheduled to be theatrically released on 13 May 2022.[11][12]
