In 2021, Ryder released his debut EP, The Sun’s Gonna Rise, which has received over a 100 million global streams. It was followed up with a sold-out tour.[8]
On 10 March 2022, the BBC had internally selected Ryder as the UK representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song "Space Man".[9] Between March and May of 2022, Ryder embarked on a promo tour throughout Europe.[10] He will support Paloma Faith, during her summer concert in Hatfield Park.[11]
