Saani Kaayidham

Saani Kaayidham (transl. Muddy Paper) is an Indian upcoming Tamil-language film directed by Arun Matheswaran (of Rocky fame). The film stars Keerthy Suresh and Selvaraghavan.[1] Siddharth Ravipati produced the film while the soundtrack and cinematography were handled by Sam C. S. and Yamini Yagnamurthy(of Sillu Karupatti fame) respectively. The film will be released on Amazon Prime Video on 6 May 2022.

Plot

The plot revolves around a generational curse coming true when injustice is occurred upon Ponni and her family. She seeks vengeance along with her elder brother Sangaiah , with whom she shares a bitter past.[2]

Production

The shooting of the film was wrapped up on 18 August 2021. Selvaraghavan also completed dubbing for his portions.[4]

Soundtrack

The music of the film was supposed to be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, but he was replaced by Sam CS.[5]

Release

The film is scheduled to release on Amazon Prime Video on 6 May 2022 alongside its dubbed versions in Telugu and Malayalam, with the Telugu version titled Chinni.[6] The film’s teaser was released on 22 April 2022.[7]
