Sōichirō Yamamoto
Sōichirō Yamamoto (山本 崇一朗, Yamamoto Sōichirō, born May 31, 1986)[2] is a Japanese manga artist and was the creator for a number of comic series in Japan. He currently has 3 ongoing manga series in Japan. Two of those were being published in Monthly Shōnen Sunday, which are Teasing Master Takagi-san and In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki. The remaining one is published in Weekly Shōnen Magazine, which is called When Will Ayumu Make His Move?. His works has helped him gain a number of achievements in Japan, also has served as an influencer to other manga series.

Personal life
Yamamoto was born and raised in the town of Tonoshō in Shōdoshima, an island part of Kagawa Prefecture. His hometown would later serve as the setting for Teasing Master Takagi-san.[3][4]
He is a graduate of Kyoto Seika University Faculty of Art.[5]
Career
In April 2018, Sōichirō Yamamoto has made posts of a new series of web comics in Twitter. At that time, the series was being called by the name of “Shougi no Yatsu” by Sōichirō Yamamoto. The series has been continued on Twitter and had 19 chapters available at there. Eventually in 28 February of 2019, Sōichirō Yamamoto announced that there is going to be a serialization based on this webcomic on Twitter. The series is going to be published by Kodansha, the largest publishing company in Japan. Despite having an original name for the series, it was decided that a new name would be given to the series instead, which is “Soredemo Ayumu wa Yosete kuru” in Japanese.[6] This embarks the start of one of Sōichirō Yamamoto’s notable comic series When Will Ayumu Make His Move? and has been continuing in Weekly Shōnen Magazine since then.
In April 12 of 2019, Sōichirō Yamamoto together with Kamio Fukuchi has launched a new manga series, which is called “Kaijū no Tokage” in the magazine Shōnen Champion. The manga is about a mysterious egg that was being discovered by two sisters.[7]
In 2020, KAYAC, a famous internet corporation in Japan that provides a variety of services that covers various aspects in the society, mainly in the internet and entertainment sector [8] has announced the release of an expanded virtual reality version of the animated version of Sōichirō Yamamoto's Teasing Master Takagi-san manga in the year’s 3rd December. The title for the virtual reality anime is “Teasing Master Takagi-san VR 1st & 2nd Semesters”. [9]
In 2022, TOHO Games announced the release of a smartphone game based on the television anime of Sōichirō Yamamoto's Teasing Master Takagi-san manga in spring. The game's title is "the Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san: Kyun-Kyun Records". The game is going to feature hit songs from the anime. The background music of the game would be contributed by Singer-songwriter Yuiko Ōhara, who created the opening song of the anime.[10]
In 2022 April 9, Sōichirō Yamamoto’s In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki manga series made its animated debut on television.[11]
In 2022, Sōichirō Yamamoto’s manga series Teasing Master Takagi-san is getting its first movie version. It has been confirmed by Shin-Ei Animation studio, the animation producer that the movie is going to be released on 10 June 2022 in Japan. The storyline of the movie will continue from the ending of the Teasing Master Takagi-san season 3 that has been premiered in January 2022. Teasers of the movie could be found in YouTube.[12]
