Research

In October 2019, Rishab Jain was named America's Top Young Scientist[2] for his tool which harnesses artificial intelligence to improve radiotherapy for pancreatic cancer patients.[3] Jain's tool uses deep learning models trained on CT scan images of the abdomen. His tool segments the pancreas from the image in real-time so that radiation oncologists can apply radiation therapy more effectively.[4]

Jain continues to develop more tools for pancreatic cancer. His latest invention diagnosing gene mutations using radiomics and artificial intelligence may help increase patient survival-rates by an estimate of 7-13%.[5]

Awards and recognition

Activism
