Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie is an upcoming American animated martial arts comedy film based on characters by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. Produced by Nickelodeon Movies and Nickelodeon Animation Studios and distributed by Netflix, it is intended to be a continuation of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2018-2020), the 4th animated film in the franchise, and the 9th installment overall. The film will be directed by Ant Ward and Andy Suriano in their directorial debuts and stars the voices of Ben Schwartz, Omar Benson Miller, Brandon Mychal Smith, Josh Brener, Kat Graham, Eric Bauza, and Haley Joel Osment. In Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie, Leonardo is forced to lead his brothers to save the world from the Krang.

Premise

Set after the events of the second season, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo face their greatest challenge yet when a mysterious stranger arrives from the future with a dire warning of an alien invasion of the Krang.[1]

Production

On February 5, 2019, it was announced that feature films based on Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Loud House were in production for Netflix.[2] On January 12, 2021, the former films' plot synopsis was revealed on the franchise's official Twitter account, alongside with the original release year.[3] On August 27, 2021, the film was pushed back to 2022 due to it not being completed in time.[4] Production on the film was finally completed on April 7th, 2022.[5]
