Biography

Rik started training in Kyokushin Karate at a young age along his older brother Rukiya Anpo, they both left the world of Karate competitions with high accolades. Japanese television did a short documentary when they were children depicting them as Karate prodigies.

Riku made his professional debut on November 16, 2014 in his native city of Osaka at the HOOST CUP KINGS WEST event. He defeated Takayuki Tsujita by first round knock out.

On September 30, 2016 Riku had his first fight for the K-1/Krush organization. He defeated Yuki Miwa with punches in the first round.[2]

On May 28, 2017 Riku scored his biggest win up to date when he defeated Leona Pettas by unanimous decision for the vacant Krush Super Featherweight title.

On December 8, 2018 Riku lost his K-1 debut at the K-1 World GP 2018: K-1 Lightweight World Tournament event when Taio Asahisa beat him by Unanimous decision. He suffered a late third round knock down.[3]
