Composition and lyrics
On "Right On", Baby discusses his sexual activities with women, making a large amount of money, and repeats similar financial advice that fellow American rappers, the late Nipsey Hussle, and Jay-Z have given before. He strongly and confidently raps: "I just hit the woman of my dreams with another bitch / I done scratched ten million off my bucket list / I'm never on no sucker shit / My city stand behind me, that's why I love this shit / Buildin' up for my kids' kids' kids, I ain't gon' never quit / Investin' my money in all type of shit, ownership".[1] The song was previewed by American professional basketball player Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves in November 2021.[2] The song has been described by Tom Breihan of Stereogum as a "relatively downbeat and introspective" song that sees Baby "working in his comfort zone, sounding confident but downbeat at the same time and putting a ton of melody in his raps".[3]
Music video
The official music video for "Right On", directed by Shaq Gonzoe, premiered alongside the release of the song and "In a Minute" on April 8, 2022.[4] It sees Baby driving through residential streets in multiple Rolls-Royce cars in the neighborhood he grew up in, Oakland City in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, surrounded by stacks of money, expensive clothing, luxury vehicles, and plenty of women.[5]
