Rawat (surname)

Rawat is an upper caste of Hindu Rajputs from Garhwal and Kumaon divisions in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.[1]

Rajputs, people with Rawat surname are mainly concentrated in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, some number of them are found.[2] in Nepal adjacent to Uttarakhand.[3]

Western india

Mainly a social community of Rajasthan, where most of their population is concentrated. Land is still the mainstay of the life of Rawat people.[4]

The Rajasthan Rawat Mahasabha, which has its headquarters in Ajmer, is an organization of this community.[4]

Language

In place of Rawat composition, Mewari, Marwari, Patari, Kumaoni, Garhwali, Awadhi, Braj bhasha, Mali, Bundeli languages were spoken.[1]
