Ras Markaz Oil Storage Park
Oman Oil and Orbic Group (OQ) has developed an investment programme to bring the crude oil storage park in Ras Markaz, which includes port facilities and oil tanks complex, in addition to developing other locations to attract third-party investments in storing crude oil and hydrocarbons. Located in Duqm, Sultanate of Oman, the terminal covers an area of 1,253ha.[1] Ras Markaz Oil Storage Park is part of the Special Economic Zone at Duqm.

Ownership
The projected is fully owned by the government of Oman,[2] represented by Oman Tank Terminal Company (OTTCO),[3] which is part of OQ company.
Storage capacity
The storage capacity in the first phase is 25 million barrels of oil[4] and the park is connected to Duqm Refinery through an 80-kilometre long pipeline. Further, eight huge tanks were built to store crude oil at the refinery.[5]
Aramco of Saudi Arabia has signed a MoU for the storage of their products at Ras Markaz.[2]
Commissioning date
Ras Markaz Oil Storage Park is expected to be completed in the first half of 2022.
