Qal'at Sukkara
Qal'at Sukkara (Arabic: قلعة سكرة) is a medieval hilltop castle which was built on the Mount Abdulaziz, Syria.

History
The 150×70m castle was built of limestone on top of a hill in order to observe the nearby valleys during the Ayyubid era.[1]
In November 2014, it was partially damaged due to an airstrike conducted against the Islamic State militants during the Syrian civil war.[2]
