Puppy (Korean: 멍뭉이) is an upcoming South Korean film directed by Kim Joo-hwan, starring Cha Tae-hyun and Yoo Yeon-seok.[2]

Plot

It is the story of two men who have been separated from their family-like pet dog, looking back on themselves and growing up as they go on a journey to find a new owner.

Development

Initially, in June 2019, Choi Woo-sik and Gong Myung were confirmed to star in the movie Puppy and the filming was expected to start in the second half of that year.[7] But in August 2019, it was reported that production companies had decided to step down from Puppy[8] and the production was put on hold.[9] Later, Choi and Gong withdrew from the project.[10]

Casting

In March 2020, Cha Tae-hyun was confirmed to appear in the film,[3] Yoo Yeon-seok joined the film in May and filming was expected to start in June.[4]
