Protest against the death of Anish Khan

Anish Khan was a student at Aliah University.[4]

On 18 February at midnight, Anish Khan was allegedly killed by 4 people disguised as policemen. The 3 separate policemen who influenced the case were suspended from the Anish murder investigation.[5][6][7]

• On 18 February, students of Aliah University held a rally in Park Circus.[8][9] Two policemen and one student were heavily injured in tussle.[10][11]
• On 21 February, the banner of Students Against Fascism, SFI and AISA jointly organised a rally in Kolkata, from Esplanade to MG Road.[12][13][14][15]
• On 22 February, SFI and AISA jointly called a bandh on Jadavpur University in the demand on Justice of Anish Khan.[16][17] Two female SFI and one female AISA activist were injured.[18][19][20]
• The general students of Aliah University organised a rally in Mahakaran Avijan on 22 February.[21] Many students were heavily injured on the lathi charge by Kolkata Polices and 49 students were arrested. Two AISA activists were arrested from the rally, Mahakaran Avijan.[22][23]
• On 22 February, Howrah district committee of the CPIML Liberation and AISA, AIPWA, AIARLA organised a huge rally on Uluberia. Delegated team of CPIML Liberation, AISA and AIARLA give deputation at the Uluberia Sub DM office.[24]
• On 23 February, the CPIM West Bengal state committee organised a huge rally in Siliguri, from the Anil Biswas Bhawan to the Siliguri Road.
• On 26 February, the CPIM West Bengal state committee organised a huge rally on Panchla. Several activists and leaders including Minakshi Mukherjee were heavily injured on lathi charge by West Bengal Police and civic volunteers.[25][26] Seventeen SFI - Democratic Youth Federation of India protesters were arrested by Police.[27][28][29] Minakshi Mukherjee with fifteen other CPIM activists were arrested from the protests of Panchla.[30][31] Thirteen policemen were heavily injured by stones thrown by CPIM activists.
• On 1 March, SFI, AISF, PSU, AISB and AISA jointly organised a huge rally from Sealdah to College Street. After the rally, in the demand of Justice for Anish Khan, Youth organizations like DYFI, RYA, AIYF also joined this protest.[32][33]
• ISF West Bengal state committee organised a rally from Sealdah to Esplanade in the demand of Justice for Anish Khan, About seven to eight thousand people joined in this rally of ISF.[34]
• On 1 March, AILAJ, AILU, LSJHR organised a rally in the banner of Lawyers For Democracy from Calcutta High Court to Esplanade. AILAJ leader Dibakar Bhattacharya, AILU leader Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya led this Lawyers rally.[35]
• On 2 March, AIDSO West Bengal organised a Lalbazar Avijan in the demands of Justice for Anish Khan. Eight to Nine AIDSO activists were injured in the tussle with the Kolkata Police.
• On 4 March, CPIML Liberation Darjeeling District committee organised a rally in Siliguri, from kanchenjunga Stadium to the Airview Road.[36]
• On 10 March, Students' Federation of India organised a rally from College Street to MD Ali Park in the demand of justice for Anish Khan.[37]

• On 28 February, 10 days after Anish Khan's death, Trinamool Chaatra Parishad organised a rally from Moulali to Esplanade.[38] The protest held against the left-wing protesters of SFI, AISA and students of Aliah University. Thousands of the students joined in this rally of TMCP.[39][40]

BSU organised a protest in Dhaka city.

• On 4 March, Bangladesh Students Union held a protest in Dhaka against the murder of Anish Khan and BSU also gave solidarity to the movement of Justice for Anish Khan protests.
