Piet Wildschut

Pieter ("Piet") Wildschut (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈpitər (ˈpit) ˈʋɪltsxɵt]; born 25 October 1957 in Leeuwarden, Friesland) is a retired football defender from the Netherlands, who obtained a total number of eleven international caps for the Dutch national team.[1]

Career

A player of FC Twente, he represented his native country at the 1978 FIFA World Cup, where Holland finished second. Later on Wildschut moved to PSV Eindhoven, after having started his career for FC Groningen. After his soccer career, Wildschut and his family, moved to the United States where he runs a software company. He studied Mathematics at Eindhoven University of Technology.

Family Life

Born and raised in the Netherlands by Jetze and Hittie Wildschut, Pieter is the only son in a family of 4 kids. He himself has 2 sons who were also born and raised in the Netherlands. After his soccer career, Pieter moved to the USA with his wife and had 3 daughters: Indira, Naomi, and Shira Wildschut. Currently, Pieter resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
