Peanut butter whiskey

Peanut butter whiskey is a type of flavored whiskey that has the flavor of peanut butter or peanuts.[1] It is consumed straight as a shot, used as an ingredient in cocktails, and also sometimes drizzled atop ice cream.[2][3]

Producers

Peanut Lolita is the name of a thick whiskey and peanut-based liqueur produced in the 1960s and 1970s.[1] The liquor was produced by Continental Distilling in Linfield, Pennsylvania.[2]

Skrewball is a company based in San Diego, California that produces the spirit at 70 proof and claims to have invented the beverage.[1] The company was started and began purveying the product to consumers around July 2018.[3][4] In December 2019, the New York World Wine and Spirits Competition awarded Skrewball whisky a Double Gold medal for best flavoured whisky.[1] The product also received the Double Gold medal in August 2018 at the same New York competition, being prized as the "Best Flavored Whiskey".[2][5]

Hard Truth Distilling Co. in Brown County, Indiana produces a peanut butter whiskey that was introduced in November 2020.[6]

Ole Smoky Distillery in Gatlinburg, Tennessee produces a peanut butter whiskey that received ten well-known spirits awards in November 2020.[7]
