Payamdüzü

Payamdüzü is a village in Çemişgezek district of Tunceli Province, Turkey. At 38°58′N 38°59′E it is situated at the north of the Keban Dam resorvoir. Distance to Çemişgezek is 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) and to Tunceli is 110 kilometres (68 mi). The population of Payamdüzü is 565[1] as of 2011. The original name of the village was Sinsor which was changed to Payamdüzü (literally Almond plains) in 1947, upon the suggestion of Kâzım Karabekir. The main economic activity of the village is cattle breeding.
