Patricia Urquiola

Patricia Urquiola Hidalgo is a Spanish architect and designer.

Biography

From 1996 she worked for Lissoni Associati, where she designed pieces for furniture companies including Cappellini, Cassina and Moroso.[1]:86 Her Step Sofa was shown at the Salone del Mobile in Milan.[1]:86

Reception

In 2011 she was awarded the Medalla de Oro al Mérito en las Bellas Artes and the Order of Isabella the Catholic by King Juan Carlos I of Spain.[2]
