History

Rodney Nelson was the principal from 2006, when the school opened, until his retirement in 2014.[3] His most notable achievement during his time at Panther Creek was the creation of SMART Lunch, a one-hour block of lunch time where students can engage in additional enrichment and educational assistance. The current principal is Gregory Decker, who succeeded Camille Hedrick after her appointment to the same position at Green Hope High School.

Principal Camille Hedrick was named North Carolina PTA Principal of the Year in 2017.[4] Hedrick became the principal of Green Hope High School in 2017.[5]
