OpenSooq (Arabic: ‎السوق المفتوح; lit. "Open Market") is a classified ads and E-commerce mobile app, headquartered in Amman, Jordan and operating across the Middle East and MENA.[2][3][1][4] OpenSooq is an online platform that facilitates consumer-to-consumer and business-to-consumer sales through its website and mobile app.[5] OpenSooq was founded by Salah Sharef in 2008, initially targeted the Libyan market. According to Alexa Internet, OpenSooq is the sixth most visited website in Libya, as of November 2021.[6] After investing by iMENA Group in 2012, OpenSooq started expanding into new countries and launched its first mobile application, in 2013.[7][1]

According to the 2021 report of Bloomberg, OpenSooq is involved in the sale of about $30 billion of goods annually, with an item sold every 13 seconds.[8][9]

In 2021, OpenSooq raised $24 million in a round led by Public Investment Fund.[10][11] Other investors in the round were included iMENA Group and FJ Labs.[12][13]
