Reception
On the Trapline received starred reviews from The Horn Book,[1] Kirkus Reviews,[2] and Publishers Weekly,[3] as well as positive reviews from CM: Canadian Review of Materials,[4] the Association of Children's Librarians of Northern California,[5] Mutually Inclusive,[6] the Canadian Children's Book Centre,[7] and Booklist.[8]
The book won the Governor General's Award for English-language children's illustration at the 2021 Governor General's Awards.[9]
