Nyombi Morris

Nyombi Morris is a Ugandan Climate Activist well known for being vocal while standing up for climate justice and gender equality, in March 2021 him and his brother also acting as a Photographer Julian Ssekeba were arrested at the streets of Kampala by Uganda National Police when protesting for climate justice. A year before, September 2020 his Twitter account got suspended for one and a half months still by the Uganda Government after challenging the National Forestry Authority on the sale of Bugoma forest [1][2]

Nyombi began his activism as a result of the direct impact flooding had on his family disrupting the source of livelihood for his parents and forcing them to find a new place to call home in Kampala.[5][6][7][8] He fights the deforestation of the Bugoma Forest.[9][10][11] thumb
