In 2013, the group was formed with its original members, including Yudai, as a copy band of One Ok Rock.[1]

In July 2016, the original members Kimunii and Takuya withdrew and were suspended for half a year.

In January 2017, Kaito, Sôjirô and Negi joined the group.

In January 27, five people, including Yudai and Yutaro, performed their first live.

In October 2018, Novelbright released their first mini album "Skywalk" and distributed it nationwide.

In December 2018, Bassist Yutaro withdrew from the live held on December 5.

In January 2019, Bassist Keigo joined the group, completing the current Novebright.

The pattern of the street live tour "Kakeppuchido Chikusho Street Live TOUR-Acoustic CD Release Tour-" that was carried out nationwide in July was spread on Twitter, TikTok, etc., and the songs were ranked at the top of each streaming chart. It became a hot topic. AcoBright1" on July 5.

In September 2019, the group released their 2nd mini album "EN."

The official fan club "NOVEL CITY" opened March 16, 2020.

They released the first full-length album " Wonderland " and distributed it nationwide on May 27.

A major debut from Universal Sigma was announced. And on July 11, 2020, it was announced that Novelbright's first arena one-man live would be held at Osaka Castle Hall. On October 16, it was confirmed that 4 of the 5 members except Takenaka were infected with the novel coronavirus, and on October 16, they announced that they would refrain from activities during October. Also, Takenaka originally tested negative, but he was confirmed to be infected on a PCR test on October 19. The band's first regular radio program began broadcasting on Nippon Broadcasting System on November 12, when they began to voluntairly suspend their activities.

They released their first full-length album "Opening Declaration" after their major debut on April 28, 2021.

They released the song "Okey dokey!!" on December 2, 2021 in collaboration with Pokémon Unite. The group was briefly renamed "NovelUNITE" specifically for this collaboration.
