Northwood Timberwolves
The Northwood Timberwolves are the athletic teams that represent Northwood University, located in Midland, Michigan, in intercollegiate sporting competitions at the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Timberwolves compete as members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for all 16 varsity sports. Northwood has been a member of the GLIAC since the 1992–93 academic year, which they had also a previous stint as a charter member from 1972–73 to 1986–87.

On April 29, 2021, Northwood announced that it will leave the GLIAC to join the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) in July 2022.[2]

Men's ice hockey
Northwood University men's ice hockey competes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and is a member of the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHC).
