Nick Cherukuri

Nick Cherukuri is an American technology entrepreneur. He is the founder and current CEO of ThirdEye Gen, a reality smart glasses and software company. In 2019, Cherukuri was named to Forbes 30 under 30 for enterprise technology.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Career

Cherukuri was born and raised in Princeton, New Jersey. He graduated from University of Pennsylvania and founded the Penn AR/VR Club at the University of Pennsylvania, during his studies.[5] Cherukuri founded ThirdEye Gen, a reality smart glasses and software company company in 2016. The X1 AR Smart Glasses were the company's first reality product and came to market in 2017. The company is focusing on enterprise AR technology and it developed its next X2 MR Smart Glasses which was released in 2020. The X2 included Mixed reality technology such as 6 DoF tracking, aircraft recognition and an all-in-one ruggedized design. ThirdEye Gen sells worldwide to military, healthcare and field services use cases.[7][8][9][10][11] ThirdEye also developed custom subscription software for healthcare and field services that enabled remote telepresence and other features. US Army is one of the company's customers.[12] Cherukuri is also collaborating with the United States Department of Homeland Security to develop other capabilities such as image recognition that can be integrated into the glasses.[13] He was granted multiple patents, which were ultimately assigned to ThirdEye.
