Governing Structure
The executive board of NYFCR is made up of eleven positions headed by a chairperson. The current chairman of the organization is Augustus LeRoux.[2]
Chapters that make up the state organization are divided into five regions: the Capital region, the Central Region, Long Island, New York City, and the Western region. Each region is managed by a regional chair that is also a member of the executive board.[2]
Withdrawal from CRNC
In July 2021, the NYFCR voted to leave the College Republican National Committee[3] following allegations that then-Chairman Chandler Thorton was using the mismanaging the organization's funds.[4][5] In the dossier released by the NYFCR, the issue of $122,000 donated by Kid Rock to an organization once controlled by Thornton became a point of contention.[6]
