History

The band's name is a reference to the Japanese word for cat, neko.

Nekokat was formed in 2015, and consists of three members. Their first single, "Gimme A Break" was originally intended to be a track featuring Bowen on The Ready Set’s fourth studio album, I Will Be Nothing Without Your Love.[1]

The band also released two EPs in 2015, "Communication" and "Communication II".[2] In 2017 they would come back and release a music video for their new single "Take".[3] Their third EP and latest to-date, "Pleasure Beach", was released in 2018.[4]
