Nawab Zahid Khan
Nawab Zahid Khan was ruler of Multan. He was father of Shuja Khan[1][2] and grand father of Nawab Muzaffar Khan. He was the first person of his family who became Nawab of Multan in 1738[3][4] when Nadir Shah invaded India. In 1747 Ahmad Shah Durrani invaded India and confirmed him in his appointment, but on the other side the government in Delhi instead appointed Shahnawaz Khan to supersede him as Governor. He served as governor of Multan province of the Mughal empire from 1738 to 1748.[5] He died in 1749 in battle at Multan.[6]
