National Self-Government of Bulgarians

The National Self-Government of Bulgarians (Bulgarian: Българско републиканско самоуправление, БРС; Hungarian: Bolgár Országos Önkormányzat, BOÖ) is the nationwide advocacy organization of the Bulgarian minority living in Hungary.

Aims

The aim of the Bulgarian National Self-Government is to help preserve the national identity of the Bulgarian community living in Hungary, to contribute to the improvement of the conditions for the use and development of the Bulgarian language, to promote cultural autonomy among the Bulgarian communities and to introduce Bulgarian cultural values ​​to the Hungarian society. In recent years, the most important goal of the Municipality has been the education of the Bulgarian language.[1]
