Nagpuri cinema

Nagpuri cinema refers to films produced in the Nagpuri language in state of Jharkhand.[1][2][3]

History

The first Nagpuri feature film was Sona Kar Nagpur (1992) which was produced and directed by Dhananjay Nath Tiwari.[4][5][3]

Since then several films have been produced and won awards around the world. Nagpuri cinema face several challenges such as lack of funds, infrastructure deficiency as most audience reside in villages.[2]
