N81 highway (Philippines)

National Route 81 (N81) is a 34.6-kilometer (21.5 mi), east-west primary[1] route which forms part of the Philippine Highway network in Cebu connecting the cities of Naga and Toledo.[2][3] Two roads form the route, namely: Naga−Uling Road and Cebu−Toledo Wharf Road (from Toledo to Uling).[4]

    History

    When the highway routes were assigned in 2014, The segment of Cebu−Toledo Road Wharf Road from Barangay Lutopan to Poblacion except Toledo Port and Naga−Uling Road were assigned as N81.

    Route Description

    Toledo to Uling

    The route starts as Cebu–Toledo Wharf Rd at the intersection of Cebu–Toledo Wharf Road (N826) and Toledo−Pinamungahan−Aloguinsan−Mantalongon Road (N820) in Toledo as the logical continuation of the latter. It then turns east at its intersection with Toledo-Tabuelan-San Remigio Road (N820) towards the mountainous terrain of Cebu Island.

    Uling to Naga

    At its intersection with N825, where Cebu–Toledo Wharf Road continues, N81 becomes known as Naga–Uling Road. It then makes a junction with the southern terminus of the under construction Metro Cebu Expressway.[4][5] The route meets its southern terminus at Natalio Bacalso Avenue (N8) in Naga.[4]
