Museums of Mequinenza
The Museums of Mequinenza are three museums located in Mequinenza (Zaragoza).
They are composed of the mining museum (one of the rare mining museums located inside a real restored gallery of more than 1000 meters of route in which one can see real coal), the Museum of the History of Mequinenza and the Museum of the Prehistoric Past. Their objective is to show the mining and historical heritage of the locality, and more especially that of the old village of Mequinenza, which disappeared in the Ebro river after the construction of the Ribarroja Dam . Its location is in the María Quintana school group, built in 1927, where the schools of the old village were.

Recognitions
The museums of Mequinenza received the Josep Galán Prize in 2017 granted by the Institut d'Estudis du Baix Cinca (IEBC) for "some magnificent installations that maintain the memory of the inhabitants of Mequinenza and Bajo Cinca".[1]
